About
LSC was founded in 1997 as a research laboratory of the Institute of Computing at the University of Campinas.
Its research projects have been developed closely with Microsoft, Intel, Samsung, IBM, LG, Apple, and universities in the USA and Canada.
LSC graduates have been hired by some major global corporations, and R&D laboratories and have also founded four startup companies.

- Energy Efficient Computing
- Processor Simulation
- Compiler Optimizations
- Code Generation

Institute of Computing, unicamp
The Institute’s origins date back to 1969 when a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science was created at UNICAMP. This course was the first of its kind in Brazil, and served as a model for countless other degree programs across the country.
Currently, the Institute offers undergraduate courses in Computer Engineering (jointly with the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science; a Graduate Program, leading to Master and Doctor degrees; and several specialization and university extension courses.
